DENTAL IMPLANTS

A dental implant is a small "anchor." It is inserted into the jawbone to take the place of your missing tooth root. After the surrounding bone has attached to the implant, a replacement tooth or prosthetic is secured to the top of the implant. The new tooth looks, feels and performs just like your natural teeth

Healthy and natural roots stimulate healthy bone, so when you loose your teeth the surrounding bone begins to shrink. This shrinkage can lead to changes in the shape of your face. Implants stimulate and hold your bone so your face retains its natural shape.

What is involved in the implant procedure? Each situation is little different, we will examine you and create a plan or process that will take between four to nine months. During the stages of the process your appearance will always be covered by temporary teeth.

Initial procedure. Under local anesthesia, or sedation as determined by the Doctor, Implants are placed and left to rest, so that your body and bone become fixed to them (and Are Osteointegrated)

Following procedures, After the surrounding bone has attached to the implant, a replacement tooth or prosthetic is secured to the top of the implant

Benifits of dental implants

More healthful and beautiful: When teeth are missing, the surrounding bone begins to shrink. This unhealthy bone loss can make your jawline recede. Implant dentistry can help prevent deterioration of the jawbone caused by loss of teeth, so your face retains its natural shape.

More Comfortable: Because dental implants are securely anchored, there is no slipping or movement as there is with dentures. This eliminates some of the key worries of dentures, including poor fit, gum irritation, and pain from exposed nerves. You will be able to smile and pronunciate clearly and with confidence.

More Confident: With dental implants, you'll never need to cover your mouth when laughing, smiling, or speaking. You can eat your favorite foods without pain or fear of embarrassment. You will look better, feel better, and live more confidently.
